SUBMISSIONS ARE CURRENTLY Closed FOR THE 2024 EDITION
The Great Plains Review accepts submissions each year during the first few months of the Spring semester.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE FOR 2024 EDITION IS MARCH 18TH 2024
We are looking for quality content in the areas of Fiction, Nonfiction, Poetry, Song Lyrics, Music, Art, Costuming, and Photography as well as work that matches this year's theme of “REVERIE.”
No matter what your skill level may be, we encourage all Sterling College Students, Sterling community members and folks from all across the great plains to submit to our journal!
Submission Guidelines:
Submissions can be sent to our Google form. You can scan the QR code below to get to the form. There is a limit of ten submissions per person.
Submissions that contain profanity and/or violence/gore may be submitted, but they will likely not be accepted, or they will be edited to fit Sterling College standards.
All submissions should be under 10 pages long. You may submit longer pieces, but they will need to be condensed to fit in the journal. Typical submissions are between 1-7 pages in length.
Cover Contest:
For the 2024 edition we are holding a contest among the student body for the cover!
The cover must follow the Reverie theme for the year! The design must be 5.5x8.5 with the title "Reverie" and Great Plains Review 2024 as the subtitle.
